The University Youth Knowledge Academy at UlSIT presented its annual awards


For the tenth time, the University Youth Knowledge Academy at University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT) presented annual awards in the categories "Established Scientist", "Outstanding Young Scientist", "Outstanding Doctoral Student" and "Outstanding Student", as well as a Special Award.


Prof. Stoyan Denchev, in his capacity as Chairman, inspiration, and pillar of the Univerity Youth Knowledge Academy, opened the ceremony.



Then the floor was given to Prof. Trencheva - Deputy-Chair of the University Youth Knowledge Academy and the protector, guardian and motivator, as well as vice-rector of Scientific and International Activities, for her greeting speech.



THE SPECIAL AWARD OF THE ACADEMY was awarded to the person most responsible for scientometrics in Bulgaria - Mrs. Vanya Grashkina, executive director of the National Center for Information and Documentation.



Mrs. Verzhinia Tsankova from the National Center for Information and Documentation was awarded with a plaque and diploma on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the University of Library Science and Information Technologies (UlSIT).



This year's winner of the "Apple of Knowledge" in the category "Established Scientist" is Prof. Dr. Toni Shekerdzhieva-Novak, the Rector of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts.



The "Apple of Knowledge" in the "Outstanding Young Scientist" category was awarded to Dr. Denitsa Mladenova and Dr. Plamen Teodosiev.



Ventzeslav Sabev and Victoria Spasova received the "Apple of Knowledge" in the "Outstanding Doctoral Student" category.



The awarded students are Petar Petrov and Blagovest Petrov in the category "Outstanding Student".



The decoration of the ceremony impressed with golden apples on a festive cake - a gift from Rivdan Zait, PhD student at the University of Library Science and Information Technologies.
