Morocco: King Mohammed VI Awards Additional Scholarships for Palestinian Students

As chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, King Mohammed VI gave instructions to dedicate supplementary scholarships to Palestinian students, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad said.

These scholarships are part of the aid granted by the Moroccan International Cooperation Agency and have so far reached 100 beneficiaries.

They are scholarships and study grants that financially support Palestinian students from the Gaza Strip enrolled in universities and higher institutes in the different regions of Morocco.

The royal initiative reflects, once again, the generous and constant benevolence of the Moroccan King towards the Palestinian cause, as well as, the statement said, the active solidarity of Morocco, the monarch, and the people with the Palestinian brothers in these difficult circumstances.

The Moroccan Monarch urged the competent Moroccan authorities responsible for this operation to immediately make these scholarships available to Palestinian students who meet the necessary criteria, in full coordination with the Palestinian National Authority.

It should be noted that this initiative is yet another link in the chain of solidarity linking the Moroccan people to the Palestinian people.

On the humanitarian level, by way of example, the fraternal ties are manifested through the regular aid provided by the King to the inhabitants of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) on the one hand, and to those of Gaza on the other hand.

Besides scholarships, this aid is managed by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, which was also involved in establishing field hospitals previously set up by Morocco in Palestine, especially in Gaza.
